ECSA-HC Calls for Strengthened Regional Vigilance Following Ebola Case in Kenya

The East, Central and Southern Africa Health Community (ECSA-HC) has called for strengthened regional vigilance following Kenya’s confirmation of an imported case of Bundibugyo Virus Disease (BVD), a form of Ebola disease.

ECSA-HC is engaging with the Government of Kenya and regional partners to support a coordinated response, building on ongoing cross-border preparedness efforts. The organisation emphasises early detection, timely information sharing and collective action, while urging communities to remain vigilant and rely on information from recognised health authorities.
