Knowledge management, Monitoring and Evaluation cluster

The Knowledge Management, Monitoring and Evaluation cluster is responsible for monitoring progress towards the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals and the Health Ministers Resolutions within the East, Central and Southern Africa region. The KMME cluster is also responsible for ensuring perspectives, ideas, experiences and information are shared widely. To enable informed decisions and improve efficiency in health programme planning, this cluster ensures that information is readily available at the right time and place.

Programme Objectives

  • To monitor progress towards SDGs and other global and Regional commitments
  • To carry out programme and project evaluations for accountability
  • To provide an enabling environment for sharing of best practices, perspectives, new innovations and information
  • To build and strengthen capacity of member states to collect, synthesize and share information
  • To strengthen the development of evidence based policies and programmes in Member states and in the ECSA region.
