Mozambique in the ECSA Health Community

The Republic of Mozambique is part of the expanding ECSA Health Community member-state family. Mozambique’s inclusion strengthens regional cooperation in health systems strengthening, disease surveillance, emergency preparedness, infectious disease control, maternal and child health, nutrition, and health workforce capacity development.

As a Lusophone country in Southern Africa, Mozambique brings important experience in public health programming, cross-border collaboration, health emergency response, and implementation of national and regional health priorities. Through ECSA-HC forums, technical committees, programme expert meetings and knowledge-sharing platforms, Mozambique will contribute to regional learning and collective action for improved health outcomes.

Mozambique’s participation also supports ECSA-HC’s mandate of promoting cooperation among member states, facilitating exchange of best practices, and strengthening the capacity of health systems to respond to current and emerging public health challenges.
