ECSA-HC Conducts Productive 5-Day Staff Retreat in Nairobi, Kenya
The East, Central, and Southern Africa Health Community (ECSA-HC) is holding a highly anticipated 5-day staff retreat from June 19th to June 23rd in Nairobi, Kenya. The purpose of the retreat is to bring together the organization’s staff, review the annual performance of the past fiscal year, and chart the course for future development. In addition to discussing strategic priorities, the retreat included the review of internal manuals, team-building activities and the announcement of key staff appointments. The opening remarks of Professor Yoswa Dambisya, the Director General of ECSA-HC marked the event.
During his opening remarks, Professor Yoswa Dambisya expressed his admiration for the dedicated efforts of the ECSA-HC team throughout the past year. The Human Resources, Financial, and Procurement manuals are to be evaluated to ensure they align with best practices and provide clear guidance to staff members. These manuals serve as essential references for the effective implementation of ECSA-HC’s operations, ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance.
The staff retreat brought exciting news with the announcement of two key staff appointments. Professor Yoswa Dambisya unveiled the nominations for the positions of Director of Programs and Cluster Manager for the Food Security and Nutrition Program.
