Join us for an insightful and critical webinar co-hosted by the East, Central and Southern Africa Health Community (ECSA-HC) and Together for Girls, as part of the Implementation Science Collaborative’s Evidence to Policy series. This event is a must-attend for anyone passionate about creating a safer world for children.
🔹 Date & Time: November 29, 2023, at 04:00 PM (EAT)
🔹 Focus: Our second webinar in the series zeroes in on efforts to protect children from violence in low-resource settings globally. We aim to share vital achievements and lessons learned in the implementation of national strategies to end violence against children. These strategies are informed by the critical data from Violence Against Children and Youth Surveys (VACS).
🔹 Facilitators: The webinar will be facilitated by ECSA-HC, an inter-governmental organization of nine Member States. Earlier this year, its Ministers of Health adopted a resolution identifying violence against children as an urgent priority.
🔹 Featured Presentations: Hear from implementing partners in Kenya and Namibia, including:
- Lifeline Childline Namibia’s work with the Ministry of Health to enhance parenting and caregiver programming.
- Project Hope Namibia’s initiatives for making schools safer.
- LVCT Health Kenya’s efforts in cross-sectoral dissemination and action planning sessions.
🔹 Special Remarks: The event will also feature remarks from government voices in the region and USAID, highlighting their investments in addressing violence against children.
