Regional Community of Practice on AMR & IPC Opens in Lusaka, Zambia

From June 9–11, 2025, ECSA-HC—supported by the World Bank, Africa CDC, WHO, FAO, WOAH, and ReAct Africa—is convening a pivotal Community of Practice Annual Meeting in Lusaka.

This workshop is validating three regional tools:

• Pre-service Training Curriculum on AMR & IPC

• Protocol for HAIs and MDRO Surveillance

• AMS Handbook for Animal Health

Participants are developing country-level roadmaps and strengthening collaboration across sectors to tackle AMR and IPC with a unified voice.

Outcomes from this event will feed into a side session during the ReAct Africa Conference.
