Condolence Message on the Passing of Dr. Faustine Engelbert Ndugulile

The East, Central, and Southern African Health Community (ECSA-HC) is deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Faustine Engelbert Ndugulile on November 27, 2024. His passing is an immense loss not only to the United Republic of Tanzania but to the entire health community in Africa and beyond.

Dr. Ndugulile was a visionary leader whose dedication to public health and service to humanity inspired many. His recent election as the WHO Africa Regional Director was a testament to his exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to improving health outcomes across the continent. We had looked forward to the transformative impact his leadership would bring to Africa’s health systems.

On behalf of ECSA-HC, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania, and the people of Africa. We stand in solidarity during this time of loss and reflection.
