Embarking on the Journey: Initial Implementations in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Sao Tome and Principe
The inaugural phase of this transformative journey will witness the direct implementation of the project in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Sao Tome and Principe. As these nations take the lead, subsequent phases will seamlessly incorporate more countries from the Eastern and Southern Africa region, amplifying the impact across borders.

The project’s initiation aligns seamlessly with national objectives, echoing Pillar 2 of Kenya’s CPF (FY23-FY28), focusing on increasing national preparedness for shocks. Simultaneously, it harmonizes with Ethiopia’s CPF (FY18-22) and Sao Tome and Principe’s CPF (FY14-18, extended due to COVID-19), emphasizing quality health services, resilience building, and reducing vulnerability.
